Black Coffee Embarks on National Tour and Releases New Single

MOLEBOGENG MANGOALE

It is absolutely no doubt that Nkosinathi Maphumulo, known as Black Coffee, is one of the most respected DJs locally and internationally. The multiple award winning South African DJ and renowned producer is undertaking a national tour as of the 24th of October 2014. His music label, Soulistic Music, will launch the concert, the first of its kind in SA, in Braamfontein.

The tour, titled ‘A Night with Black Coffee’, is also the popular DJ’s first national tour in the country. A social media buzz has already begun with the hashtag ANBC doing the rounds. “This unique launch will be televised on SABC1 for two hours from 10pm to 12pm and will also be streamed live globally via SkyRoomLive making this a historical event as we celebrate 20 years of democracy” a media release from Soulistic Music said.

The concert will be supported by other local artists such as Soulstar, ThandiswaMazwai, Tumelo, Alexander James, Cara Frew and Mondli. Fans should be excited as the concert will be taking place across six major cities across the country, providing sufficient opportunity to experience an unforgettable musical performance from the influential and talented DJ.“It’s both exciting and humbling to be a part of such a historical celebration as we commemorate this significant milestone of 20 years as a country. Music played such a critical role in our transformation to democracy, so to be hosting this ground-breaking concert in the heart of Johannesburg... is a befitting tribute which reflects how far we’ve come as a nation,” said Black Coffee who is also the founder of Soulistic Music.

Black Coffee recently released a new single, ‘I will find you’ featuring Cara Frew on vocals. The sound is deep with a soulful touch and it has received much acclamation from fans as well as fellow peers in the house music scene. Over a month ago, Black Coffee also released a remix of Avicii’s ‘Lay me down’.

He has been in the music industry since 1994 and over the past few years has become a household name and an inspiration to many young South Africans. He has three albums under his belt and he is set to release a new one next year. We absolutely can’t wait! Clearly everything this man touches turns to gold.
